The Elementary Experience

At Trinity, we want to create joy and excitement for the learning process amongst our elementary students. In order to best prepare our students for the transition from kindergarten into elementary and eventually from elementary into middle school, our early learning and middle school principals tag team in overseeing our elementary program.

ELEMENTARY DISTINCTIVES

HOUSE SYSTEM

A special feature of Trinity’s elementary experience is our house system, which allows students to experience a sense of belonging, camaraderie and healthy competition throughout the school year. Students rotate through each of the houses (beginning in 1st grade) where they are given opportunities to learn and demonstrate healthy character traits for impacting culture positively around them. Houses vie for the distinguished honor of capturing the House Cup at the end of our year long competition.

SPECIALS CLASSES

Students rotate through a variety of specials classes in order to explore additional learning opportunities outside the normal classroom experiences. Our current specials rotation includes the following classes: Art, Chorus, Music, Spanish and PE, and Computer Science.

ACADEMIC ACCOUNTABILITY

Trinity administers the Stanford 10 each spring to grades K5-8. Trinity is accredited through ILCS, SACS, and AdvancEd, and is a member of the Georgia Association of Parochial and Private Schools for our athletic teams and extracurricular competitions.

CHAPEL

All Trinity students attend chapel once a week on Wednesdays. Chapel is conducted by members of the TCS faculty/staff and occasional guest speakers from the community. Chapel focuses on worship and the practical application of God’s Word to our daily lives.
